This course explores the state and federal laws that affect management behavior and organizational practices including contracts, business organizations, employment law, products liability, safety issues, and environmental regulation. This course pays special attention to issues surrounding business start-up and intellectual property. Each student develops a portfolio/notebook of topics related to their career choice. Class must be passed with a 2.0 or better to count for BAS-Applied Management degree. Prerequisite: meets the criteria for acceptance into a BAS/BSN program, completion of a two-year degree or equivalent, or instructor approval.
