Description This course covers the operation and management of greenhouses and other controlled environments used in crop/horticultural production with emphasis on system design and construction, lighting methods and intensity, heating and cooling systems, growing media, plant nutrition, water quality and irrigation systems. This course also offers basic understanding of greenhouse production of plants, cultural control and practices specific to greenhouse production.
